Believe, one of the global leading digital music companies, and its leading automated distribution division TuneCore recently announced the funding of a grant for India-based music creators. The Grant is a cash endowment of INR 1,00,000/- that will be awarded to one artist. This artist will be selected by a panel of music industry experts like Padmanabhan NS, Sandhya Surendranath, Rahul Sinha, Mae Mariyam Thomas, Rumpa Banerjee, Atul Churamani, Sarah Elizabeth Chawla, Nikitha Gandhi, and Heena Kriplani.
Andreea Gleeson, the Chief Executive Officer of TuneCore said, “The Indian music market is robust with talented independent artists and I’m excited that, by offering financial support in the form of the TuneCore Grant, we are able to provide a rising artist with the resources to continue to create work that inspires and resonates with audiences around the world.” All Indian-based Tunecore artists are eligible for the grant. Grant applications should include an original single in any language and genre. Submissions for this will be accepted till the 15th of December, 2022.
Earlier this year, TuneCore also unveiled the unlimited program that allowed constant music creation to be made more accessible for all artists. They achieved this by giving artists the ability to release an unlimited number of singles and albums for one flat price.
