Road to Basscraft 2021 : The Virtual Concert Experience!

In the post-pandemic era, music gigs have become a rare occurrence and will remain so for the foreseeable future. There are some visionaries that have always vouched for everything digital. We came across a few when we learned about Basscraft, an eleven-year-old online music festival that takes place in the game of Minecraft. This team has dedicated their time to creating an experience that anyone can join in, from anywhere in the world, and it’s all for free!

The popularity of in-game concerts has boomed ever since games like Fortnite and Roblox started their live concerts in their respective games. Artists like Marshmello and Travis Scott have done Fortnite concerts, whereas Lil Nas X has been the beginning of Roblox concerts. Such concerts have gained recent popularity as everyone has been home during the lockdowns, but Basscraft had this vision many years ago. Could they have foreseen the pandemic? I don’t think so, but their execution has always been ahead of its time.

Basscraft is an online music festival that is committed to bringing the best virtual experience that is tailored for allowing the premiere of new music and talent.

The team spends countless hours working on stage designs and concept renders to ensure that the event outruns the previous edition. The team led by Michael Wojcik (the creator of the festival) and Durwin Fernanadez works tirelessly to put forward every newer edition. The team consists of the super talented Conner Lettherd, Olgierd Piwowarczyk, and Noah Sullivan who all put in their skills to test every year with amazing visuals and beautiful emulation.
